Indigenes of Ondo State marched out to celebrate Adeyeye Adeola, Chef Deo, after a successful completion of a 150-hour cooking marathon.
The Nigerian chef commenced the Cook-a-Thon on Friday, June 30, in Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, with the goal of breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time by an individual.
In a recent update, Chef Deo successfully accomplished her cooking marathon in the late hours of Thursday, July 6.
The current holder of the title is Nigerian chef and restauranteur, Hilda Bassey Effiong, known as Hilda Baci, with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.
A while ago, Chef Deo sparked mixed reactions online after she reportedly turned off the gas while cooking.
Though, a video emerged online suggesting that the Ondo chef turned off the gas burner and comfortably ate one of the dishes she prepared which contradicts the rules of Guinness World Record for the cook-a-thon.
