Political parties in the country have been urged to always promote internal democracy to ensure the emergence of credible leaders across board.
A former Niger state Commissioner of Youths, Mr Timothy Ibrahim Jiya made the call during a Media roundtable in Bida.
He explained that selfish interest of the few has been a major bane to Internal democracy in Political parties nationwide.
Mr Timothy Jiya said service to humanity should be the basis of ideologies guiding any credible political party.
Mr Timothy Jiya who was also a former Council Chairman of Gbako Local Government emphasised the need for Nigerians to always hold their leaders accountable.
Mr Timothy Jiya appealed to all candidates in the forthcoming election not to over hit the polity but rather embrace issue based campaigns
