Residents of Zamfara State have picket in protest the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters seeking probe of the former Governor of the state, Bello Matawalle.
The protesters urged the anti-graft agency to delve into all petitions against Matawalle, particularly concerning the alleged diversion of contracts amounting to N70 billion during his tenure as governor.
The group presented their demands to the EFCC, seeking a thorough investigation into the accusations leveled against the former governor.
Wilson Uwujaren, the EFCC Director of Public Affairs, received the protest letter on behalf of the Chairman, while assuring the demonstrators of the EFCC’s commitment to pursuing every corruption case to its rightful conclusion.
