The intervention of President Bola Tinubu on the plan and ongoing protest by The Nigeria Labour Congress has yielded positive results as the NLC has sheathed their swords, opting for a more amicable resolution.
This was reached at the National Executive Council meeting of the Congress and was confirmed by Hekeem Ambali, who noted that the protest was suspended due to the Senate intervention and meeting with President Tinubu yester night.
The NLC protest has garnered support and massive mobilisation geared towards compelling the Federal Government to provide subtle measures to cushion the effect of subsidy removal, but even before they could make serious damage to the economy and Government services with their protest, the Federal Government was quick to intervene thus the yielded results.
