The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has announced Chika Edoziem as its new leader on acting capacity.
IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, announced this in a statement on Sunday, stating that Edoziem would be acting pending when its substantive leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently in detention in Abuja, would regain his freedom.
However, Simon Ekpa has posted on his Twitter account, that “Due to the insecurity in Biafraland & across Nigeria as being sponsored by the Nigeria Caliphate state in Biafraland against the Biafra people. We the Biafra people from today 8.8.2022 hereby ban every MEGA Nigeria political rally in Biafra territory. No Mega rally is allowed”.
He added that parents should hold their children & safeguard them. “The liberation of Biafra already has been activated & no election is one of the key issue that must be implemented. Going against this directive is going against Biafra”.
