The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its Presidential Candidate in the February 25 election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar have revealed that 100 witnesses would testify in their petition challenging the election of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu before the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).
Lead Counsel to the PDP, Chris Uche stated this in Abuja at the resumption of proceedings before the court.
Counsel for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Abubakar Mahmud said his client who umpired the election would present two witnesses to defend the poll.
Counsel for the President-elect, Chief Wole Olanipekun said he had 39 witnesses to defend his challenged victory in addition to those to be subpoenaed.
The All Progressives Congress (APC), which was declared as winner of the presidential election alongside Tinubu announced its intention to call 25 witnesses to establish the victory in addition to those to be subpoenaed.
All parties agreed that report of any star witnesses would be made available 48 hours before the hearing.
The schedule of documents to be filed will be given to other parties before the hearing and calling of witnesses.
Both parties also agreed that re-examination of witnesses would be given 5 minutes, while cross-examination would be granted 15 minutes and 30 minutes for cross examination by the respondents.
For the evidence in chief, they categorised them into 30 minutes for the lead witness because they would tender and identify documents.
Justice Tsammani directed the parties to meet and agree on the schedule and adjourned until Monday, next week for hearing.
