The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has revealed dates for the governorship elections in Edo and Ondo States next year.
This was stated by the National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education and Committee, Sam Olumekun.
Accordingly, the Edo governorship election is scheduled to be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 and Ondo governorship election is scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024.
INEC is expected to implement all necessary measures to ensure smooth and transparent elections, including deploying electoral officials and security personnel, as well as establishing polling stations across the states.
