The Delta State Police Command has arrested suspected 100 homosexuals during a gay wedding between Daniel Pius, the groom and Maxwel Ohwonohwo, bride.
One of the suspects Abel Daniel, 23, revealed that while he was under the influence of alcohol, one male suspect who is at large had sex with him through his anus at the hotel.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass, stated unequivocally that Delta state is no place for any sort of same-s+x relationship. He said the prosecution would go in line with Nigeria’s Anti-Gay Law which prohibits same-sex marriage in the country.
The suspects were paraded at the Ekpan Divisional Police Headquarters in Uvwie ahead of their arraignment in court by the police.
