Kayode Egbetokun, the Acting Inspector General of Police, has disclosed intentions to build a new Special Intervention Squad targeted at quickly resolving security issues within the country.
This noteworthy development was revealed by IGP Egbetokun during a recent visit to Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf at the Government House.
“We have decided to set up a squad called the Special Intervention Squad to intervene quickly in a crisis,” Egbetokun said, emphasizing the group’s mission to effectively combat crises and violent crimes across Nigeria.
According to FRCN, the IGP also promised to partner with Kano State government to reduce crime in the state and in the nation.
