President Bola Tinubu has held a closed-door meeting with the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and former Emir of Kano, Mr Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, at the State House.
Mr Sanusi served as CBN chief from June 2009 to June 2014 when Emefiele took over from him.
On Friday, President Tinubu suspended the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele and directed that the bank’s Deputy Governor of Operations, Folashodun Shonubi, take over in acting capacity.
On Saturday, the Department of State Services (DSS) confirmed that former CBN Governor is in its custody.
